Humanity and human consciousness is rife with image and ideal, ideology and identity, struggle and divisions of status and position, race, sex, class, religion, political ideology and nation; these things distort perception and divide human beings, create confusion and violence. Awareness is divided by thought, people are divided by identities and ideologies.
Understanding of these divisions and distortions breaks down the barriers and negates them, and with this negation comes total undivided attention, awareness not diverted by thought and the dissolution of walls of identity that separate people.
With this whole awareness is comprehension, comprehension that is not fragmentary, an understanding that does not divide but acts wholly: It is the only true and complete action.
